Take a look at: http://mailplaneapp.com/.
Only works with Gmail, not Yahoo. It's pretty clean. If you're a heavy gmail user on a Mac, it's a pretty go way to go. If you sign up for an invite at the site, you should get one pretty quick (at least I did). YMMV

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know what ICE was (call me stupid, still don't). I assumed it was a company name (for anyone else if it was, what I said still stands true).
Yep, I had a Treo 650 and it always just pulled the first one in the alpha. The iPhone, in my case anyway, pulls up the first alpha (I have mine sorted by first name not last name - it defaults to last name) and then says # others. If you haven't changed the default and ICE does not have a last name, it might be doing an alpha pull up.
I'm curious if the way I think yours is working is how it works.
A nice feature would be to be able to set an address entry as the primary for a number for caller id.

cbee, it's because of two things: 1) In your address book you have the same number in three locations (which may be what you want, but that's why it says two others). 2) In terms of ICE, it's probably because you have Company checked in the address book. If you uncheck that, it should show the name.
Give it a go.
Unfortunately, in the first cut of the iPhone, you can't do the same check/uncheck of Company on the phone, only on the computer.

Leo, it was a good show. You would have gotten hate mail no matter what - right now the iPhone is a polarizing product. Kind of like war or abortion in politics.
If you do an all iPhone show, as you saw, the iPhone haters send email. If you did a no iPhone show or tried to create other news to artificially balance it out, the rabid iPhone fans would have sent email because of the elephant in the room.
Posted from my iPhone.

I hadn't been to a meeting in years (over 10) and went recently to a leading MUG meeting. I was surprised at how the age and experience level skewed. I think MUGs are a think of the past and the web has taken over for most users. There are areas where specialty-focus or novice users can drive a MUG, but sadly, I think those days have past us.

Based on what I've seen, I'm sure Leo can run circles around most in his sleep. That's not to say he doesn't work hard - far from it, just that his 'broadcast' fitness level is so high that he can do things for hours on end and still be coherent where most of us would be completely depleted. It will continue to keep him young.

@Kitchigai: You likely got all these similar responses because we didn't know that you had pricing constraints and because it sounds like you don't plan to do this for a while. This market is very dynamic and the answer you get in 3 months will be different than today. Frankly, little meets all your criteria today. Even the Treo doesn't sync all that well and completely without Missing Sync, but all that is moot. If you were buying today, you're right, the Treo is probably a decent enough choice. If you are buying in 3 months, I'd re-evaluate everything again then and so on. One other consideration, especially if you have a SIM-based carrier (T-Mobile or AT&T) is to get a clean, used or even refurb phone, maybe a Treo 650. But even for Verizon or Sprint it would be worth it. Be sure to get it from a reputable seller and for your network or guaranteed unlocked. The benefit of that is that you can probably spend less money, not extend your contract, and make other choices later. Good luck, it'll be interesting to find out what you decided.

Agreed with comptr, the Palm seems very dead (I'm an active Palm user since 1996 - including six Palm-based phones). Assuming expectations are realistic and they deliver on even much of the hype, the iPhone looks good. Short of that, S60 phones from Nokia also look very good. I'm not a fan of Windows Mobile (yes, I've owned two of those too), too much interface for a small device.
